JOSEPH'S COLLEGE STUDENTS ARE WINNERS! The Barnes Group, comprised of Cost Cutters and Supercuts salons, had a mannequin up-do competition for beauty school students at their recent Gala. The event was held at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 14th. Three beauty schools competed in the event. They were Joseph’s College Cosmetology, Paul Mitchell, and College of Hair Design. Each school was permitted to submit three hair designs. The theme for the competition was “Sexy Freak Show.” Lyla Gadeken, Joseph’s College Cosmetology student from Lincoln, Nebraska, was the first place winner of the competition. Her “peacock design” was the favorite of the voters. Evelyn Ornelas, also a Joseph’s College student from Crete, Nebraska, was the second place winner. The voters were professional stylists from Cost Cutters and Supercuts that attended the gala. Lyla (on the left) and Evelyn (on the right) are seen in the photo with their winning mannequins.
